Steam-distilled from dried clove buds (Syzygium aromaticum), mainly from Indonesia, Madagascar and Zanzibar.
How perfumers use it
Builds carnation accords and adds a spicy edge to roses and ambers.
Did you know? Cloves are unopened flower buds.
